Senior Android Engineer
We’re hiring a Senior Android Engineer on a permanent basis to join a growing technology team building a modern mobile platform that supports digital financial products used by customers across the UK and beyond.
This role will work closely with engineering leadership to help evolve the Android capability into a scalable, modular mobile platform. The successful candidate will contribute to the architecture and development of Android applications, helping deliver high-quality mobile experiences while supporting best practices in engineering, testing and long-term maintainability.
Location: London – Hybrid (1–2 days per week in the office)

Key skills and experience required:
- 6+ years’ experience developing Android applications
- Strong experience using Kotlin and modern Android architecture patterns (such as MVVM)
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and contemporary Android UI development
- Experience building modular Android applications using multi-module architecture
- Experience creating and maintaining reusable UI components or design systems
- Knowledge of Coroutines, Flow, LiveData and modern Android libraries
- Experience using dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt
- Experience working with automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines
Desirable experience:
- Experience releasing Android applications to the Google Play Store
- Experience working within start-up or scaling technology environments
- Experience developing platform-level mobile capabilities or reusable frameworks
- Exposure to regulated industries such as financial services or fintech
