Location: Stockport (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation and play a key role in shaping its data strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer who wants to progress into a Tech Lead role within the next couple of years.

You'll work as part of a core data squad, supporting business-critical data platforms and contributing to strategic initiatives around data quality, governance, and building foundations for AI-driven insights. Expect exposure to a wide range of technologies and business areas, from finance and HR to engineering and operations.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain robust data models and pipelines.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver strategic data solutions.
• Work closely with the Tech Lead and other squads to ensure smooth releases and integration.

Key Skills

• Data Modelling
• Python & SQL
• AWS / Redshift
• 3-5+ years of experience in data engineering

Nice to Have

• Airflow, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, Databricks
• Data governance / data quality tooling
• Degree preferred
• Atlassian / Jira, CI/CD, Terraform
