Senior/ Lead Developer (Backend C#)

Location: London – Hybrid 2 days a week on site

Salary: £85,000–£95,000 +10% bonus

You’ll join a core product or platform squad, owning backend services that operate at serious scale and shaping the way the engineering function delivers.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Designing and building high‐volume, low‐latency backend systems
• Writing clean, scalable .NET Framework and .NET Core code
• Working in cross‐functional squads using Shape Up
• Developing APIs and platform services that power key products
• Enhancing performance, reliability, and production stability
• Leading technical discussions and influencing architectural decisions
• Collaborating closely with engineers, tech leads, and product partners
• Reviewing code, sharing best practices, and driving engineering quality
• Owning features end‐to‐end from build to release and continuous iteration

What they’re Looking For:

Essential

• Background in fintech, banking, payments, or similar domains
• 5–6+ years of .NET development in production environments
• Strong experience with high‐volume or low‐latency systems
• Excellent knowledge of .NET Framework and .NET Core
• Cloud experience (Azure preferred, AWS also considered)
• Hands‐on engineer who codes daily and owns their outcomes
• Confident communicator who contributes meaningfully to technical discussions
