Senior QA Engineer

Hiring: Senior QA Engineer (London – Hybrid 3 days in office)

We’re working with a fast-growing, venture-backed technology company in London that is looking to hire its first dedicated QA Engineer.

This is a high-impact role where you will take full ownership of quality across a modern web platform, shaping QA strategy, building automation, and embedding best practices across engineering and product.

The Role

You will be responsible for QA end-to-end, including:

• Defining and implementing QA strategy across the business
• Performing hands-on manual and exploratory testing on a daily basis
• Building and scaling automated test coverage, with a focus on Playwright
• Designing robust API and end-to-end test suites
• Retrofitting tests across existing, partially tested features
• Collaborating closely with engineering and product teams
• Acting as an advocate for quality, including pushing back where necessary

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience owning QA in a product-led environment
• Strong background testing web-based platforms
• Solid API and end-to-end testing experience
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium
• Experience with Cucumber, Gherkin, and BDD methodology
• JavaScript for automation
• Comfortable balancing manual and automated testing
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience building QA processes from scratch
• Exposure to introducing new tools and improving QA workflows
• Experience retrofitting test coverage in existing systems
