Salary : £42,000–£50,000

We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation that’s expanding its backend capacity to deliver multiple projects this financial year. They’re looking for a talented Mid-Level Symfony PHP Developer to join their growing team and play a critical role in building APIs, driving CRM integration, and supporting their flagship SaaS product. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative environments, can contribute clean, scalable code, and enjoys working across both e-commerce and SaaS platforms.

Ideal Experience

• Strong experience with PHP 7+ and Symfony framework
• Solid SQL skills (MySQL), schema design, and data querying
• Ability to read and interpret UML class diagrams
• Exposure to AWS (EC2, Docker-based hosting, Lambdas)
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases
• Familiarity with React/React Native for admin UI integration
• HubSpot/CRM integration experience
• Knowledge of annotation-driven ORM tooling (e.g. Doctrine)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance backend systems using PHP 7+ and Symfony
• Lead CRM integration projects and contribute to SaaS and e-commerce platforms
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to deliver new features and improve code quality
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Participate in regression testing and feedback loops to ensure robust performance
• Champion best practices and scalable development patterns
