We are partnering with an organisation exclusively & seeking a visionary and delivery-focused Director of Digital Transformation to lead a bold, institution-wide programme of digital and systems change.

This is a high-impact leadership role, working at the heart of one of the UK’s most forward-thinking universities. You’ll take ownership of a transformation portfolio that spans enterprise systems, data, digital service design, and cultural change.

About the Role

Reporting into the CFO, this role will shape and lead the delivery of the university's digital transformation strategy—ensuring their tech, systems, processes, and infrastructure are fit for a modern, agile university.

You’ll work across senior leadership, academic departments, and professional services to:

• Develop and deliver a clear digital transformation roadmap for ERP replacement programme
• Modernise legacy systems and integrate core platforms (e.g., student records, finance, HR)
• Champion a digital-first mindset and drive culture change across the organisation
• Lead programme governance, investment planning, and stakeholder reporting
• Build and lead a high-performing transformation team

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an exceptional individual who brings:

• A proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation programmes
• Experience working in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment (HE, NHS, public sector, etc.)
• Outstanding leadership, governance, and stakeholder engagement skills (Has the presence, credibility to win hearts and minds to get things done)
• Strategic vision coupled with delivery focus
• Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SITS, Oracle, SAP, CRM, or similar

What Could make you stand out?

Experience leading technology transformation in higher education is advantageous but not essential.
