Systems Data Quality Officer - HR
The opportunity - Hybrid role
This role sits within the HR Systems team and plays a key part in ensuring HR systems run smoothly, data is accurate, and colleagues across the organisation are well supported. It is a hands on operational role with real scope to build expertise in HR systems, reporting, workforce data, and stakeholder engagement within a complex organisation.
You will work closely with HR colleagues, line managers, and senior line managers, and support accurate vacancy, workforce, and management information reporting.
What you will be doing
- Liaising with line managers and senior line managers to provide updates on vacancy status
- Reviewing vacancy and workforce data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Setting up and running regular update meetings with key stakeholders
- Supporting testing, implementation, and controlled release of system changes
- Reviewing, monitoring, and maintaining high levels of data accuracy across HR systems
- Maintaining organisational structures and core HR system records
- Producing, running, and maintaining regular and ad hoc reports, including trend analysis
- Using Excel confidently to analyse data, identify trends, and present clear information
- Supporting HR systems and reporting projects and continuous improvement activity
- Providing first line support for HR systems via email and call handling
- Advising and guiding HR colleagues and system users on correct system usage
- Producing user guidance and delivering HR systems training where required
- Working closely with HR Systems colleagues to ensure a responsive and reliable service
What we are looking for
- Experience working with HR systems or data driven systems in a support or administrative role
- Confidence liaising with line managers and senior stakeholders in a professional manner
- Strong Excel capability, including data review, analysis, and trend identification
- A methodical and detail focused approach to reviewing, monitoring, and maintaining data accuracy
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- A customer focused mindset with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A collaborative team player who takes ownership and follows issues through to resolution
Experience with HR reporting tools, vacancy management, or delivering systems training is beneficial but not essential, provided there is strong learning ability and interest in HR systems and reporting.
