Our people are at the heart of our business and were recruiting for a Junior Developer to join our Colchester based team. This role will be based full time at our Colchester office however hybrid working (2 days at home and 3 days in the office) will be available after successful completion of your probation and training period. This is an exciting time to join our established team. This role will be to assist in the delivery of innovative solutions. To work within the team in order to collaborate in developing cutting edge tools to streamline processes and enhance the overall travel experience to our clients.

What Youll Do

• Development and Maintenance.
• Collaborate with the development team to design, code, and test software solutions.
• Maintain and enhance internal bespoke tools using C# .NET, Angular, and React.
• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of applications through regular updates and improvements.
• Provide technical support for internal tools, addressing and resolving issues promptly.
• Work closely with end-users to understand requirements and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications and processes.
• Conduct thorough testing of applications, ensuring high-quality and reliable software.
• Implement and adhere to coding standards, contributing to a robust and maintainable codebase.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Participate in regular meetings to discuss project progress, blockers, challenges, and opportunities.

What were looking for

• A level in Computer studies or Software engineering or equivalent
• Proficiency in C# .NET and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in industry frameworks such as ASP, React and Angular.
• Proficiency with relational database technology specifically SQL*Server.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
