EPR Central Workstream Lead - Data Migration

Job summary

The EPR Programme are seeking an experienced Data Migration Central Workstream Lead to join the programme for a fixed term period of 12 months to support their significant and exciting journey towards implementing and sharing an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across the BSW Hospitals Group i.e., the Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (GWH), Royal United Bath Hospital (RUH) and the Salisbury Foundation Trust (SFT).

Main duties of the job

The Central Workstream Lead for Data Migration will be responsible for the delivery of their workstream, playing a key role in the implementation of the new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system across the three Trusts.

The postholder will be an expert in their appointed workstream providing leadership and practical support to the local workstreams and clinical teams to take forward improvements and new ways of working, enable successful service transition, drive operational change, and help realise the qualitative and quantitative benefits available with a fully integrated electronic patient record.

The post holder will work closely with the Local Workstream Leads and with clinical teams to ensure alignment of priorities to achieve the overall programme plan and support staff to develop and improve the new EPR for all clinical services across the Trusts and act as an liaison betweenclinical and operational service workstreams, various IT Teams and the system suppliers - Cerner and 3rd Party.

This is a hybrid role which requires the post holder to flexible in attending sites across the BSW Group where required.

Job responsibilities

The postholder will ensure appropriate planning and support is in place to enable successful service transition, drive operational change whilst removing unwarranted variation across the 3 organisations. This includes providing practical support to both the wider Implementation Team and clinical teams across the Trusts and sharing functionality and anticipated configuration of the new EPR and how operational processes could align. There will be an expectation to drive an ongoing cycle of process improvement, continually identifying areas of opportunity for development and work with appropriate teams to implement system improvement. The postholder will also work closely with the Local workstream leads and with senior clinical teams to ensure alignment of goals and priorities to achieve successful implementation of the new EPR, working as a liaison between clinical and operational service workstreams, various IT Teams and the system suppliers Cerner and 3rd Party.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Education to post-graduate diploma level or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
Desirable
  • Project management qualification

Experience

Essential
  • Significant experience of working within the acute hospital environment, with clear experience within the allocated work stream
  • Data Migration leadership experience for multi-Trust Oracle Health Implementation
  • Track record of internal stakeholder engagement
  • Significant experience in Oracle Health/Cerner systems
Desirable
  • Experience of co-ordinating software testing
  • Knowledge of the use of information and information systems used in the NHS
