Shared EPR Business Analyst - 18 Month Fixed Term / Secondment
As part of the BSW Shared Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme, this role provides a specialist information and configuration service to support the implementation, optimisation and ongoing management of the EPR across Great Western Hospital (GWH), Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH) and Salisbury Foundation Trust (SFT).
The postholder will ensure systems such as Oracle Health / Cerner Millennium and related clinical applications are configured safely, accurately and in line with clinical workflows. Working closely with clinical, operational and digital teams, the role helps shape future processes and supports the delivery of high-quality, efficient care through digital technology.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will manage their own workload to design, configure and maintain EPR workflows, ensuring system build aligns with organisational policies and service needs. They will analyse current and future clinical and operational processes, working with staff to agree system configuration and support the transition to new digital workflows.
Acting as a key link between clinical teams and the shared EPR system, they will identify opportunities for improvement, translate requirements into system changes and ensure safe, effective configuration. The role includes interrogating databases, producing analysis to support decision-making and contributing to the wider optimisation of the EPR across all BSW organisations.

As part of the shared BSW shared Electronic Patient Record (EPR) the postholder will provide a customer-focused, high quality specialist information service including database interrogation and statistical analysis supporting the implementation, configuration, optimisation, and ongoing management of the EPR across the BSW organisations Great Western Hospital, Swindon (GWH), Royal United Bath Hospital (RUH) and Salisbury Foundation Trust (SFT). This includes ensuring that digital systems such as Oracle Health / Cerner Millennium and related clinical systems are configured correctly, safe, and aligned with clinical workflows.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications and Training
- Relevant degree in computing and information technology or equivalent.
- Additional specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate diploma level or relevant experience
- Qualification in Project Management or Business Analysis.
- Clinical Qualification.
Experience
- Experience of Oracle Health System
- Experience of delivering work packages in a timely and efficient manner
- Experience of administering and supporting large scale systems.
- Experience of problem resolution
- Experience of working with varied stakeholders
- Evidence of continuous CPD.
- Experience of clinical safety considerations
- Experience with the with process mapping, or technical and business requirements, documentation
- Previous/current NHS experience
