Enterprise Architect Location: Hybrid - Minimum one day per week in a central London office Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits Package

The Role

The Enterprise Architect will play a key role in aligning the organisation’s IT strategy with its long-term goals. The role involves leading on the design and implementation of a robust and scalable enterprise architecture that ensures systems, processes, and data management frameworks are fit for purpose, secure, and future-ready.

You will work across teams to shape technology strategy, streamline operations, manage technology risk, and support data governance, all while ensuring value for money and enabling operational agility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide architecture models that support strategic and operational goals
  • Lead the creation and review of systems capability strategies and IT roadmaps
  • Coordinate and contribute to strategic IT planning and feasibility assessments
  • Identify and implement business process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data teams to ensure cohesive planning and delivery
  • Contribute to solution design and system integration efforts for new technologies and services
  • Ensure best practices in architecture documentation, stakeholder communication, and governance
  • Support ongoing lifecycle management and modernisation of IT infrastructure

Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
  • Demonstrated experience in aligning IT systems with business objectives
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels

Desirable:

  • Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector
  • Background in solution or data architecture
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 enterprise solutions
  • Familiarity with change management and digital transformation
