Network and Infrastructure Engineer
Description
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Network and Infrastructure Engineer to join a forward-thinking IT team supporting a busy educational environment in Brixton, London. This role offers ownership of network and core infrastructure services within a secure and complex environment.
Location: Brixton, London
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure
- Configure and support firewalls, switches, routers, and access points
- Act as a senior escalation for network and infrastructure issues
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune
- Monitor performance, security, and resilience across the infrastructure
- Contribute to IT projects, upgrades, and continuous improvements
- Maintain technical documentation and automate processes where possible
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in network and infrastructure engineering
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networks, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies
- Familiarity with PowerShell or scripting tools
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical users
- Education sector experience is desirable but not essential
