We’re looking for a Digital Manager to lead the online experience for Stansted Express, the fastest, most convenient connection between London and Stansted Airport. Please note that this is a hybrid working model with flexibility across Stratford, Colchester, and Cambridge

The Role

In this role, you’ll take ownership of our website (desktop & mobile), ensuring it delivers a seamless, customer-focused experience that drives revenue and conversion. From optimising the sales funnel to introducing new digital innovations, you’ll shape how millions of passengers interact with Stansted Express online. You’ll manage key digital supplier relationships, collaborate closely with marketing, revenue, and customer experience teams, and play a pivotal role in our eCommerce growth journey.The closing date for all completed applications is on Friday 26 th September 2025

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the online channel strategy for Stansted Express to achieve key metrics including revenue, conversion rate, average order value, and cost per acquisition.
  • Optimise website content, landing pages, and campaigns for SEO and conversion, while managing supplier relationships with web developers and digital agencies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and CRM teams to drive traffic, enhance campaigns, and deliver targeted customer communications; monitor and act on customer feedback to improve the digital experience.
  • Develop, test, and implement new website functionalities, ensuring best-practice UX, CRO, and eCommerce standards; oversee day-to-day content management and social media activity.
  • Build, maintain, and report on online performance dashboards, translating data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Manage the website development budget within the broader marketing budget, representing Stansted Express in industry forums to share best practices and benchmark performance.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We’re Looking For Candidates Who: 

  • Have a friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively. project management, and stakeholder management skills, capable of bridging technical and non-technical teams. 
  • Are calm under pressure, able to think on their feet, and able to handle various situations 
  • Have team spirit and bring your unique self to strengthen our team and foster a positive work environment with a can do attitude.
  • Candidates should have experience in transport, travel, or retail sectors (preferably mobile ticketing or smartcard tech), with familiarity in agile methodologies and eCommerce tools such as attribution, personalization, and micro-targeting.
  • Candidates should have 2 years of experience in online marketing, eCommerce, and digital product management, specializing in sales strategies, conversion optimization, A/B and multivariate testing, UX and design principles, analytics tools like Google Analytics and WebTrends
