The post holder will work within the GM.Digital Research Unit supporting a portfolio of digital mental health projects which form part of the UK Mental Health Goals Programme. The post holder will be actively involved in developing innovative approaches to implementing new digital innovations in mental health services.This is a unique opportunity to work within a programme of major national significance for mental health with a variety of stakeholders (industry, researchers, clinicians, lived experience experts). The postholder will be part of a key national team driving innovation in mental health.
Main duties of the job
Job Summary/Purpose
The post-holder will take responsibility for the effective management of the Research and Innovation Digital Navigators at GM.Digital Research Unit (RU), which is a collaboration between Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) and The University of Manchester. The GM.Digital RU focuses on developing and delivering interventions to provide better outcomes for children, young people and adults experiencing mental illness. By using innovative digital technologies, we hope that these tools will become more accessible and acceptable, and that this support will be able to help larger groups of people over the coming years.
The post holder will establish and lead a new team of Research and Innovation Digital Navigators to act as a bridge between technology and mental health care, empowering service users and clinical teams to make the most of digital tools. The team will act as a pioneering national team of Digital Navigators supporting the implementation of digital mental health technologies across the UK. The post holder will recruit, supervise, and develop a team of Digital Navigators, putting in place the processes, structures and governance required for safe, effective delivery.

Person Specification
Education
- Degree level or equivalent experience
- Project Management qualification
- Master's degree qualification
Experience
- Extensive project management experience in a digital related area
