Data Analyst

Why Greencore?
Following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026, we're one of the UK's leading creators of convenience food, driven by a simple purpose: to make everyday taste better.
As a vibrant and fast-moving business, we're proud to employ over 28,000 talented colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US. Together, we bring delicious food to life. Our products cover every meal occasion from breakfast through to dinner and dessert, with lunch and snacking in between. In FY25, our shared passion helped us achieve combined revenues of approximately £4bn.
Our extensive direct to store (DTS) network, with 17 depots across the UK, allows us to deliver fresh and frozen food both our own and from trusted partners to thousands of stores every day, ensuring consumers enjoy the very best, whenever and wherever they shop.

Why we embarked on Making Business Easier?
Over time processes have become increasingly complex, increasing both the risk and cost they pose, whilst restricting our agility. At the same time, our customers and the market expect more from us than ever before. Making Business Easier forms a fundamental foundation for our commercial and operational excellence agendas, whilst supporting managing our cost base effectively in the future.
The MBE Programme will streamline and simplify core processes, provide easier access to quality business data and will invest in the right technology to enable these processes.

Why is this exciting for your career as a Data Analyst?
The MBE Programme presents a huge opportunity for colleagues across the technology function to play a central role in the design, shape, delivery and execution of an enterprise-wide digital transformation programme. The complexity of the initiative, within a FTSE 250 business, will allow for large-scale problem solving, group wide impact assessment and supporting the delivery of an enablement project to future proof the business.

The role ensures the organisation can leverage analytics and integrated data platforms to improve understanding of our operations, enhance decision-making, and measure the impact of our work. This role sits within the Data & Integration team and is fundamental in enabling evidence-informed business decisions, translating business requirements into scalable data solutions, and positioning Greencore as a trusted and data-driven organisation within the food manufacturing sector.

What you'll be doing:
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the Data & Integration team, translating business requirements into data and integration solutions
  • Elicit, document, and prioritise business requirements, data needs, and integration use cases
  • Work with data engineers and architects to shape solutions across data pipelines, integrations, and reporting layers
  • Analyse datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights to support business outcomes
  • Support the delivery of a portfolio of data and integration initiatives, ensuring alignment to business value
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement to build shared understanding of data flows and dependencies
  • Ensure data definitions, lineage, and transformations are clearly understood and documented
  • Communicate insights and solution designs in a clear, actionable manner for both technical and non-technical audiences

What we're looking for:
  • Experience in a Technical Business Analyst / Data Analyst role, working closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, data requirements, and functional specifications
  • Experience working with data integration concepts, APIs, or data pipelines (e.g. ETL/ELT processes)
  • Proven ability to translate business problems into data and analytical solutions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server, Azure (Data Factory), and Power BI
  • Understanding of data models, data flows, and end-to-end data lifecycle
  • Ability to engage stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and challenge constructively
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts simply

What you'll get in return:
  • Competitive salary and job-related benefits
  • Holidays
  • Pension up to 8% matched
  • Life insurance up to 4x salary
  • Company share save scheme
  • Greencore Qualifications
  • Exclusive Greencore employee discount platform
  • Access to a full Wellbeing Centre platform
