IT Solution Design (Step-up Opportunity) Location: Bicester, OxfordshireContract: Full-time, Permanent - HybridAre you an ambitious IT professional with a few years of solution design or architecture experience, ready to take the next step in your career? This role offers the chance to move into a Solution Design Manager position, where you’ll develop your technical leadership skills and play a key role in shaping IT solutions for complex logistics and supply chain operations.What you’ll be doing

• Contribute to solution design: Support the creation of end-to-end IT solutions, from requirements gathering through to detailed design and handover.
• Work on tenders and bids: Assist with RFPs/RFIs, helping to translate technical features into clear business benefits.
• Support innovation: Get involved in researching new technologies and automation tools that can add value to logistics solutions.
• Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with sales, account management, technical teams, and clients to understand business challenges and contribute to tailored solutions.
• Ensure quality: Help ensure designs follow best practices for scalability, security, and compliance.
• Produce documentation: Contribute to design documents, diagrams, and proposals.

About you We’re looking for someone who:

• Has around 3+ years’ experience in IT, with some hands-on exposure to solution design, architecture, or technical pre-sales.
• Has worked with or understands logistics systems (WMS, TMS, ERP, transport or courier platforms) — or has transferable experience from another complex environment.
• Understands the basics of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking, security, and automation.
• Can explain technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Is commercially aware and interested in the link between technology and business value.
• Is motivated to grow into a more senior role, taking on greater responsibility over time.
