Senior Backend Developer

Our market leading client is looking for a Senior Back End Developer to help architect and deliver backend systems capable of supporting enterprise clients and international growth. This is a senior, hands-on role for a back-end developer who enjoys working on high-impact systems and understands the demands of enterprise SaaS.  You’ll play a key role in evolving our backend architecture and improving resilience and performance.Senior Back End Developer skills –

• 5+ years commercial backend development experience
• Deep experience with PHP and Laravel (or equivalent MVC frameworks)
• Strong MySQL expertise, including performance optimisation at scale
• Proven experience designing and maintaining APIs for enterprise applications
• Experience building systems that support growth, complexity, and change
• Strong understanding of SaaS architecture and multi-tenant environments 

Senior Back End Developer nice to have experience -

• Experience supporting enterprise or international SaaS platforms
• AWS or cloud-native infrastructure experience
• Payment systems and financial transaction processing (e.g. Stripe)
• CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, or DevOps collaboration experience
• Exposure to data protection, compliance, or regulated environments
