Principal Operational Analyst

Head of Operational Analysis - Defence, Government, MoD, Space sectors

Salary - £75K-£85K plus profit share, medical, pension, manay other benefits

Location - Bristol - Hybrid role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated customer facing individual with a strong background in Operational Analysis, Operational Research, Government Approvals, looking to take the next step in their career

The Head of Operational Analysis will grow a team around them, and alongside other departments to set strategy and deliver multi-disciplinary support to some of the most complex Government programmes.

The Operational analysis team uses modelling, analysis, domain knowledge and approvals expertise to provide the evidence to make better decisions, in support of their customers within the defence and space sectors. In particular they undertake research to analyse the benefits of new equipment, approaches or technologies. Provide evidence to support Government procurement decisions. Work with customers and stakeholders to improve policy, strategy and planning

Skills, Experience required for role of Head of Operational Analysis:

You will have experience in leading a team in an Operational Analysis discipline, with expertise in analysis, modelling or support to Government Approvals. You should have a positive, flexible and self-motivated attitude, and keen to develop yourself and others within the team.

You will have experience in:

• Delivering Operational Analysis, Approvals Assurance, Decision Support and/or Modelling and Simulation in a consultancy context.

• Writing analysis documentation (e.g. OASP, COA) or business cases.
• Capability Development of new tools and techniques.
• Providing technical guidance and reviews to ensure project deliverables are of a high quality and meet customers’ expectations.
• Leading multi-disciplined teams in a consultancy setting.
• Working within public sector with knowledge of government processes.
• Managing a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Developing employees and teams through internal and external training.
• Mentoring employees across all grades.
• Contributing and leading successful bids/technical proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Head of Operational Analysis , you will be responsible for:

Vision and Strategy, Team leadership, Resource Management?,Training and Development, Technical Assurance, Capability Development?.

You will be d eveloping and maintaining Operational Analysis service offerings aligned to account demand signal and collaborating with other departments to ensure services are coherent across the business. As the Head of Operational Analysis your focus will be developing:

• Operational Analysis
• Approvals Assurance
• Decision Support
• Modelling and Simulation

Candidates will either hold UK SC or DV Security Clearance or eligible to obtain this
