Senior Project Manager – Third Party Risk Management 6-Month Contract | Outside IR35 | Remote
We're partnering with a leading London Market insurer to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a high-profile Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) transformation programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a business-focused Project Manager with strong regulatory change experience and a proven background delivering complex change within the Lloyd's/London Market insurance sector.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of a strategic Third Party Risk Management programme, including the implementation of a new TPRM solution. The project is currently in the vendor selection/RFP phase, making this an opportunity to shape delivery from the outset.
Working closely with Risk, Finance, Procurement and Technology teams, you'll drive the programme through vendor selection, design, implementation and business adoption while ensuring alignment with wider operational resilience and regulatory initiatives, including DORA.
This role is heavily business-facing, requiring someone who can engage senior stakeholders, produce high-quality programme documentation and successfully deliver regulatory change—not simply manage technical implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a strategic Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) programme from initiation through implementation.
- Manage the vendor selection process and oversee implementation of a new TPRM platform.
- Work closely with 1st and 2nd Line Risk teams to embed effective third-party risk processes.
- Produce high-quality project documentation including business cases, governance packs, RAID logs, status reporting and steering committee updates.
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, budgets and delivery roadmaps.
- Manage project governance, risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver successful business outcomes.
- Support wider regulatory initiatives including DIORA, Operational Resilience and broader enterprise risk programmes.
- Engage senior business stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Procurement and IT.
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience delivering complex business change programmes within the Lloyd's/London Market insurance sector.
- Proven track record delivering Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) programmes.
- Experience implementing TPRM platforms or leading vendor selection (RFP/RFI) processes.
- Strong understanding of regulatory change including Operational Resilience and DORA.
- Experience working with both 1st and 2nd Line Risk functions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership.
- Strong programme governance, reporting and project documentation experience.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and cross-functional delivery teams.
Desirable Experience
- Solvency II or wider insurance regulatory programme experience.
- Experience with KeyedIn or other PPM tools such as Planview, Clarity, MS Project or Jira.
- Formal Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
Contract Details
- Contract: 6 months
- Engagement: Outside IR35
- Location: Remote (occasional travel if required)
- Day Rate: £560 – £760 per day
- Strong likelihood of extension.
