WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our Commerce Product team, with experience across various methodologies, toolkits, and applications related to the media landscape, especially within Retail Media.
As a Product Data Scientist, you will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and fellow data scientists to develop advanced models and solutions. Your responsibilities include hypothesis testing, statistical analysis, and designing modeling methodologies. You will engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide updates, and translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
You will be part of a dynamic group, working with specialists and business teams, demonstrating technical expertise, developing soft skills, and contributing to the enhancement of Choreograph's product offerings.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on experimental projects within a product team, employing a hacker mentality to test hypotheses, validate assumptions, and foster innovation.
- Align experiments with business and product objectives, ensuring clarity of goals and outcomes.
- Utilize business analysis techniques such as SWOT and SOAR to understand priorities and align data science initiatives accordingly.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to develop data products that meet specific business needs with minimal guidance.
- Support and mentor junior team members.
- Gather, analyze, and visualize data to craft compelling narratives and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in AI, data science, and machine learning.
- Document methodologies, findings, and insights for transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, design experiments, and extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Conduct rigorous data analysis using statistical techniques and visualization tools to identify patterns and trends.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance experimentation and analysis capabilities.
- Adhere to data governance and privacy policies to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
WHO YOU ARE
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, or related fields.
- Experience analyzing large datasets.
- Knowledge of data fusion, enrichment, and synthetic methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge, with an interest in applying them to complex problems.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
- Passion for empirical research and data-driven problem solving.
- Flexible analytical approach to achieve results at varying levels of precision.
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative insights clearly and effectively.
