Harkaye has partnered with a fast-paced and forward-thinking law firm to appoint an experienced IT Support Manager to lead their internal technology support function. This is a leadership position within a growing team, ideal for someone who is both technically hands-on and confident in managing people, process, and performance.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of five and be responsible for delivering a reliable and responsive IT support service to a busy professional user base.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT support team, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and requests
• Provide direct line management to five team members, including setting objectives, coaching, and conducting performance reviews
• Take ownership of escalated issues and act as the point of contact for complex technical problems
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including configuration and distribution of laptops, phones, and other IT equipment
• Manage the inventory and procurement of hardware, licenses, and user accounts
• Maintain and improve the internal helpdesk system and ensure SLA targets are met
• Deliver IT inductions and training for new users
• Implement and enforce best practices for endpoint security and user access control
• Collaborate with third-party vendors where necessary to support system uptime and service quality
• Contribute to IT planning and small-scale improvement projects as the business continues to scale

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a senior IT support or IT operations role, ideally within a professional services environment
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft environments and common hardware
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• A proactive and service-oriented approach with a continuous improvement mindset
• Comfortable working onsite in the London office at least 3–4 days per week
