Guildford – 1 day per week in office. Field based covering South of England
£45K basic, OTE £90K, uncapped Commission & £6000 per annum car allowance
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for developing and managing key customer relationships while supporting selective new business acquisition. The role focuses on protecting and growing recurring revenue streams, enhancing customer outcomes, and identifying opportunities to expand services through strategic account development and consultative engagement. You will:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic customer accounts
- Produce proposals, business cases, reports, and customer reviews
- Drive account growth through increased service adoption and commercial development
- Identify opportunities to expand services and deliver additional value to existing customers
- Develop new business opportunities through market research, sector targeting, and partnership initiatives
- Plan, facilitate, and lead customer workshops and engagement sessions
- Support significant projects and change initiatives through effective planning and stakeholder management
- Build and maintain strong relationships across customer organisations at multiple levels
- Coordinate internal teams and external partners to support bids, projects, and customer growth strategies
- Develop long-term account plans focused on retention, growth, customer success, and service improvement
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer objectives, challenges, and business priorities
- Manage customer expectations and ensure effective communication between all stakeholders
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and account reporting for senior management
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and potential risks within key accounts
- Resolve issues promptly and professionally, escalating where necessary
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve account performance, internal processes, and personal effectiveness
- Deliver on commitments and ensure a high standard of customer engagement and follow-through
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a strategic account management role, selling CCaaS/UCaaS
- Have experience of working with Vendors such as Zoom, 8x8, Five9 & Mitel
- Have experience of selling total contract values of £500K
- Have executive stakeholder engagement
- Have commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Have strong organisational and analytical skills
- Have the ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Be experienced in problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Have a commercial awareness and customer-focused approach
- Have a self-motivated, proactive, and accountable mindset
- Have strong presentation, facilitation, and workshop management skills
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm.
