Finance Systems Senior Accountant - Higher Education - FTC 14 Months – Up To £60k + Fantastic Benefits – MCR

Your new role Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, you will work closely with fellow systems team members, technical colleagues, and the wider University finance community to support the implementation, development, and ongoing enhancement of the Oracle Finance system and associated applications. You will play a key part in ensuring systems are configured, maintained, and optimised to support effective financial operations across the University.PLEASE NOTE, Oracle experience is preferred but candidates with recent experience of working extensively with SAP in a similar role will also be considered. This is a 14M FTC position.
What you'll need to succeed

• A fully qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/CIPFA/ACCA) with a broad overview of Finance and a background in large, complex organisations is essential.
• Proven experience of working with Oracle Financials in a Systems role - actively involved with system functionality and delivering improvements alongside accounting duties.
• Proven history of handling large volumes of data and data manipulation will be key in this role.
• Ability to fix complex issues – experience of integration issues essential.
• Hands-on - need to understand business requirements to drive system improvements and developments and translate to the technical team.
• A background of Business Partnering with IT and Business teams in a similar role is desirable.
