The business is currently at a pivotal stage in implementing a transformative workforce management platform. This solution leverages agentic AI and robotics to redefine how we manage our people and operations. Having partnered with a third party for the initial build, we are now seeking a Product Manager to lead the transition of this platform into a core, internal product pillar. You will join taking the reins to build a long-term roadmap that moves beyond tactical fixes and into sustainable, strategic growth.

This role will report to the Head of Change and Strategy.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant subject

Within this position, you will mainly be;

Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership:

  • Own and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Workforce Management Product, collaborating with Senior Leaders and the wider product team to ensure alignment with overall business goals and market opportunities.
  • Lead in-depth market research to identify healthcare trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, serving as the primary source of truth for market insights.
  • Strategically decide on feature sets, balancing technical constraints, user requirements, and business goals to meet healthcare market demands. Provide clear strategic direction and input to the Product Owner for backlog prioritisation.
  • Own the end-to-end product research and development (R&D) process, including managing all associated activities, resources, and timelines to drive innovation and bring new product features to market effectively.

Product Definition & User Focus:

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, regulatory experts, and cross-functional teams to deeply understand user needs and translate them into clear, actionable product requirements and specifications.
  • Work closely with business leaders to craft user-friendly and healthcare-compliant interfaces that prioritize patient safety and align with the product vision.
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform product decisions, monitor performance, and track key performance indicators to ensure product success.

Governance & Compliance Management:

  • Ensure product requirements and design considerations support all relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., NHS digital compliance, MHRA & GDPR) and contribute to the overall product governance framework by preparing and managing required documentation for risk management and design control processes.
  • Identify potential product risks and challenges, contributing to the development of mitigation strategies and preparing necessary documentation for the Director of Product & Services.
  • Ensure that all essential product documentation, including user manuals, training materials, product policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
  • Actively contribute to the product governance framework by ensuring that product strategy, roadmap, and requirements adhere to established processes and regulatory standards, and by supporting the creation of necessary documentation for design control and risk management.

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Keep executive leadership and stakeholders informed on product progress, challenges, and opportunities, communicating the product strategy within the business.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the wider product team, ensuring alignment with product strategy and objectives.
  • Provide leadership for allocated product team members.
