Business Development Manager – Hyperscaler Support Services

The Role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will own and drive business growth for onsite data center support services for hyperscaler customers, including Smart Hands, Remote Hands, IMAC, white-glove support, racking & stacking, break-fix coordination, and operational support.
This role requires deep understanding of hyperscaler data center operations, security and compliance requirements, vendor ecosystems, onsite support models, and global delivery standards.
The ideal candidate has prior experience selling or managing services inside hyperscaler environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Meta, Oracle Cloud, etc.)..
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities across hyperscaler-owned and hyperscaler-leased data centers.
- Develop account penetration strategies for hyperscalers and their colocation partners.
- Build strong relationships with hyperscaler operations teams, cluster managers, technical program managers, and vendor management offices.
- Coordinate regular business reviews (QBRs/MBRs) with hyperscaler stakeholders.
- Understand hyperscaler onsite support requirements including:
- Smart Hands & Remote Hands activities
- Fiber/copper cabling
- Racking & stacking
- Equipment swaps, installations, decommissioning
- Network device assistance
- Inventory and asset management
- Develop accurate SoW (Scope of Work), SLA models, pricing, timelines, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with delivery teams for resource planning aligned with hyperscaler standards.
- Ensure solutions meet hyperscaler compliance requirements, including:
- Security and access protocols
- NDAs and restricted zone processes
- Global Data Center Operations (DCO) standards
- Incident escalation procedures
- Work with internal governance and HR teams to ensure workforce meets hyperscaler requirements (background checks, certifications, multi-region support).
- Track hyperscaler capacity expansions, new availability zones, region launches, edge sites, and colocation partnerships.
- Monitor competitor offerings and industry pricing benchmarks.
- Define go-to-market strategies for new sites, new hyperscaler projects, and global expansions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years in enterprise Delivery or business development in data centers onsite support services.
- Strong knowledge of onsite support services industry and regional dynamics .
- Proven experience in large, multi-partner pursuits and negotiations.
Specifics:
- Pure hunting and growth role (not delivery).
- Strong techno-commercial and partner orchestration skills mandatory.
- High customer-facing and travel-intensive role.
- High degree of autonomy and accountability for regional and global growth targets.
- Regular engagement with C-level stakeholders and strategic partners.
