Microsoft D365 FSCM Integration Lead
HCL Tech’s Microsoft Business Applications Practice - (MBAP) is seeking a Microsoft D365 FSCM Integration Lead to join their award-winning and growing team.
You will work with the client technical users and architects to gather technical requirements, along with MBAP’s internal team of Architects, Consultants, Developers, and Testers for the solution delivery.
The Microsoft D365 FSCM Integration Lead will be responsible for taking a hands-on approach in designing and leading the technical implementation of Dynamics products, working with both onshore and offshore development teams. You must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organized, and be able to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the Technical Architect in designing technical solutions to meet customer requirements
- Assist the Technical Architect in designing integrations between D365 applications and legacy/third party systems using multiple technologies, including Azure Logic Apps, Power Apps, and MS SQL/Azure Synapse Link
- Work with Technical Architect and Solution Architect to assess GAP / FIT for projects.
- Work with the Technical Architect to design Power Apps to solve requirements to engage with DataVerse between D365 applications
- Take part in, and in some cases lead, workshops with the customer to gather technical requirements with a view of ensuring technical solutions meet the customers’ requirements within the guidelines of the technical solution set out by the Technical Architect
- Report to the Technical Architect and/or Project Manager on a regular basis with updates on progress, risks/challenges and resourcing requirements
- Proof of concept design and build in some cases in the early stage of design.
- Write Design Documents detailing how integration solutions should be built so development teams can carry out the builds.
- Lead the development team, deciding on priorities for delivery and managing resources to deliver solutions in a timely manner to support the project
- Be responsible for Quality Assurance of developments delivered by the development team, carrying out code reviews and best practice checks and ensuring quality delivery
- Aid with regular quality audits for Implementation Programmes related to D365 F&SCM
- Responsible for playback of developments to customer.
- Assist the REM team with deployment of releases to customer environments
- Manage development resources during SIT/SAT and UAT cycles to ensure proper levels of support including managing priorities and workloads of the team
- Attend regular meetings with the Leads of all technical teams on the project to ensure all teams are working towards a singular goal
- Identify client organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement
- Manage and deliver small projects independently and can work productively un-monitored

- Ownership of technical specification/integration design documentation and Technical Architecture Documentation
- Drive quality and consistency within the company and champion the use of the Proven Process methodology; Ensure methodology is adhered to on all projects
- Input into the technical solution design and architecture including clear visibility of transition from as-is solution landscape to to-be solution landscape through delivery and ownership of solution overview diagrams
- Ability to lead the approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities; Leads technical elements of integration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions
- Comfortable participating and leading pre-sales engagements from a technical perspective
- Assist in the design of software configuration and customization to meet the business process design and application requirements
- Ability to work alongside data migration lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities; Leads functional elements of data migration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions; Owns the overall configuration and gold build of the solution being implemented

Skills & Experience:
- Proficient/Skilled at X++ development.
- Proficient/skilled in LCS components/Release process / Pipeline design and deployment
- Proficient/Skilled at Azure Logic App Development
- Proficient/Skilled at Power Apps/DataVerse Development
- Proficient/Skilled at Power Automate Development
- Proficient/Skilled at T SQL scripting/development
- Knowledge and use of Azure functions and service bus would be desirable
- Knowledge of Synapse Link updates would be desirable
- Detailed understanding of security design principles for both D365 FSCM and Azure components, including the mechanisms for authorisation and interaction with these components
- Detailed knowledge and experience of error management and Log Analytics / Application Insights
- Skilled at writing detailed technical documentation in a clear and concise manner
- A detailed knowledge of TFVC/Git and general rules/processes for development controls and branching policies
- Good Customer facing communication skills to enable clear and consistent communications with both members of the Technical team, Functional Consultants, Project governance team and customers’ staff and to be the trusted advisor to these groups.
- Good leadership skills: must be able to lead a team, manage timelines and priorities, and take responsibility for deliverables
- At least 3 end-to-end full life cycle implementations of AX or Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM
- Exhibit HCL Guiding Principles
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft DevOps to manage project deliverables
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Feels comfortable talking with clients at all levels within an organization
- Ability to balance short-term demands while maintaining the long-term vision needed to guide a customer through the implementation process
- Experience of leading projects using all aspects of LCS and Power Platform Admin Center
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio
- Ability to work remotely and on customer site. Travel expected
- Previous engagement experience with Microsoft FastTrack
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics Licensing requirements for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM
- Must be eligible for NPPV 3 level Security Clearance
