Job Title: Product Owner – Financial Services Risk

**Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong Financial Services Risk domain expertise to lead the definition, prioritization, and delivery of risk-focused digital products. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business, risk, compliance, and technology teams, ensuring solutions meet regulatory requirements while delivering business value.
Key Responsibilities-
Product Ownership & Delivery
- Own and manage the product backlog , ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks
- Translate risk and compliance requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
- Prioritize backlog items based on risk impact, regulatory deadlines, and business value
- Work closely with Scrum Masters and development teams in Agile / SAFe environments
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
Risk & Financial Services Domain
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal, and Regulatory teams
- Ensure solutions align with financial regulations such as:
- Basel III / IV
- AML / KYC
- SOX
- GDPR / Data Privacy
- CCAR, Stress Testing, Model Risk (as applicable)
- Support initiatives related to:
- Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk
- Risk Controls & Governance
- Regulatory Reporting and Risk Data Aggregation
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and risk SMEs
- Facilitate requirement workshops and stakeholder reviews
- Communicate product vision, roadmap, and delivery status clearly to senior leadership
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure delivered solutions meet audit, compliance, and control standards
- Support UAT, regulatory reviews, and internal/external audits
- Drive continuous improvement in risk controls and product effectiveness
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory
- Strong experience as a Product Owner or Business Product Lead
- Solid Financial Services Risk domain knowledge (Banking / Capital Markets / Insurance)
- Hands-on experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable product features
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience working with risk platforms, GRC tools, or regulatory reporting systems
- Familiarity with data-driven risk solutions , dashboards, and analytics
- SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager certification
- CSPO or equivalent Agile certification
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology, or related field
- MBA or relevant risk certification (FRM, PRM) is a plus
