IT Support Apprentice
You will be working within our Digital team and will have a varied role helping to support the day-to-day IT operations of the business. Within our multiple remote sites you will help to maintain all the IT systems and devices that allow our teams to operate efficiently, as well as contributing to our digital transformation plans.
Role
A typical day will include:
- Supporting users by fixing common issues via phone, email and tickets
- Installing and configuring software and hardware
- Setting up new accounts, workstations and mobile devices
- Managing backup solutions and ensuring machines are kept updated
- Creating technical documentation, guides, and processes
- Server administration, both physical and virtual
- Printer Support
- Administration of 3CX PBX phone system
- Website administration
- Maintaining site documentation, including hardware and software inventories.
- Assisting with, and managing IT projects to help develop the business
Training
- The qualification received after successful completion of the course is Information Communications Technician Level 3.
- Our training delivery is based on a remote, blended model of one-to-one sessions every 4 weeks, group sessions, webinars, online courses, video, and additional support as required. This means that our learners have the guidance they need as well as the flexibility to learn around the requirements of their jobs. We find that this approach reduces disruption for the learners and their line managers giving everyone the best chance of benefitting from the training and completing the course.
- Delivery of the standard is remote and is based around modules consisting of introduction, training, personal study, completion, and observation.
- We are looking for an apprentice who wants to progress in our business so there is a real opportunity for progression and permanent employment for the right person upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

- Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm. On rare occasions the ability to work out of hours or at weekends will be required to ensure systems integrity or to complete updates.
