Installation Engineer Apprentice
We are looking for a number of candidates who have a genuine passion to work with heavy construction equipment and to train to become a valuable member of our installing engineering team. Working with heavy construction equipment, fault finding and diagnostic/repair.
Role
- Prepare and install additional specialist equipment in accordance with customer requirements
- Assembly of large excavators
- Working to technical drawings and schematics
- Checking off parts in accordance with work orders
- Inspection of customer machines ready for delivery
- Undertake basic remedial repair painting
- Fault finding and diagnostic/repair
- General housekeeping

Training
- You will work towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship at Gateshead College
- Weekly day release
Following completion of year 3, the learner may progress into a higher Apprenticeship/ training and continue at Hitachi Connected Technology, or move back to our production facility at Hebburn as a permanent HCMUK Installation Engineer on full base rate.
