Technical Planning Coordinator - EC&I
Location: Speke, Liverpool
Salary: £42,000 per annum
Type: Full-time, Permanent
HRGO Recruitment is working with an established engineering and systems integration business to recruit a Technical Planning Coordinator to support its EC&I Construction team.
The role will provide planning, coordination and administrative support to the Construction Manager, helping to coordinate a team of EC&I installers and commissioning engineers working across the UK.
You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are properly planned, resources are allocated effectively and site teams have the people, materials, documentation and support required to deliver safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the construction resource planner, coordinating labour across upcoming projects.
- Liaise with Project Managers and the Construction Manager regarding project requirements and mobilisation dates.
- Identify resource clashes, labour shortages and potential delays.
- Act as a key communication point between Construction and other departments.
- Support site teams with project, material, documentation and logistical queries.
- Coordinate and check weekly timesheets.
- Chase outstanding RAMS, permits, FOAs, materials and documentation ahead of mobilisation.
- Maintain training and competency records, including the EC&I training matrix.
- Support workforce planning, project mobilisation and construction readiness.
- Maintain accurate trackers, records and departmental reports.
- Identify and escalate issues before they impact project delivery.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a construction, engineering, EC&I, electrical or industrial environment.
- Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
- Experience coordinating people, resources or projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to chase information and get things done.
Desirable
- Experience within gas, utilities or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of EC&I construction.
- Experience with resource planning, RAMS, permits or FOAs.
- Experience maintaining training and competency records.
- Familiarity with Procore, Aconex, MS Project or similar systems.
