Human Resources Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Generalist to join a growing international technology and engineering business. This is a stand-alone HR role within the UK operation, working closely with global stakeholders and playing a key part in delivering a positive employee experience across the full employee lifecycle.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring HR practices remain compliant, effective, and aligned to business objectives. This role offers excellent variety and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, offer management and onboarding.
  • Develop and deliver effective onboarding and offboarding programmes.
  • Support managers with performance management processes, coaching and employee development.
  • Administer employee benefits and liaise with external providers.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including investigations and complex case management.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Review, update and implement HR policies, procedures and employee handbook content.
  • Support employee engagement, learning and development initiatives, and organisational culture programmes.
  • Maintain HR records, systems and reporting processes.
  • Act as a key liaison between HR and payroll functions.

About You

You will be a proactive and relationship-focused HR professional who enjoys working across a broad range of HR disciplines and partnering with managers to drive positive people outcomes.

You will ideally have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ generalist HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle.
  • Proven employee relations and investigation experience.
  • Strong recruitment and talent acquisition capability.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using HRIS and payroll systems.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above (preferred).
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
