AV IT Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of audio visual and telecommunication systems across various client sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless operation of AV equipment and network infrastructure. The position is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background and a passion for innovative AV solution

Key Responsibilities –

  • Install, configure, and maintain audio visual systems including CCTV, VoIP, and telecommunication equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair AV equipment, network devices, and computer hardware to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct network installation tasks involving Ethernet cabling, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and network schematics.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, system testing, and calibration to meet client specifications.
  • Document system configurations and maintain detailed records of repairs and installations.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver customised AV solutions tailored to specific requirements.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Network / IT/ AV industry
  • Strong understanding of network systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ensures a high-quality finish on all projects, with thorough labelling and cable management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
  • A clean and current driving licence.
  • Must be polite, presentable, patient and be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Be aware of sensitive environments and special care of a client’s and or business property.
  • Keenness to learn new skills and consistently evolve with the company.
  • Honesty and discretion, with high levels of integrity
