MI Analyst – Entry Level

Location: Leeds (Hybrid, 1–2 days per week onsite)

Salary: £30,000

Are you looking to take the next step in your career as an MI Analyst? This is a fantastic entry level opportunity for someone with 6–18 months of experience in data or reporting who wants to develop their skills further in a supportive environment.

You’ll play a key role in turning data into actionable insights by designing and maintaining dashboards, producing reports, and supporting decision-making across different areas of the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Producing regular MI reports (e.g. staffing, KPIs, compliance, and performance trends).
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Ensuring data quality and consistency across reports and dashboards.
• Using Excel and databases to clean, transform, and integrate data.
• Monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting self-service reporting and training end-users in Power BI.

What we’re looking for:

• 6–18 months’ experience in an MI, BI, or Data Analyst role.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis tools).
• Hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, report/dashboard creation).
• Understanding of relational databases and data transformation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to explain insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience in healthcare, care, or education settings.
• Familiarity with compliance and safeguarding reporting.
• Power BI certifications (e.g. PL-300).
