Global Logistics Operations specialist - Technology infrastructure

Location: London, Hybrid

If you're looking for a logistics role that goes far beyond moving boxes from A to B, this is an opportunity worth paying attention to.

I’m working with a high-performing investment management firm whose teams rely heavily on flawless global logistics to keep mission-critical systems running. You will take genuine ownership of complex end-to-end logistics across multiple regions — someone who brings both expertise and curiosity to a fast-moving environment full of exceptionally bright people.

This is a role where your work directly impacts engineering, infrastructure, and major operational decisions. You won’t be “just processing shipments”; you’ll be the person everyone turns to when something needs to be delivered securely, compliantly, and without fail.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Managing the complete global logistics lifecycle for high-value and technical equipment — from freight bookings and customs paperwork to shipment tracking and on-site delivery coordination
  • Ensuring all movements adhere to international trade requirements, internal standards, and compliance frameworks
  • Preparing and reviewing documentation for customs clearance, cross-border movements, and final delivery
  • Coordinating intercompany transfers, depreciation considerations, VAT handling, and accurate internal record-keeping
  • Spotting inefficiencies and introducing improvements across freight processes, vendor interactions, and workflows
  • Partnering closely with Procurement, Project Management, Data Center teams, Enterprise Operations, and Engineering
  • Overseeing returns, repairs, RMAs, and vendor-managed replacements
  • Monitoring logistics KPIs and supporting analysis of freight spend, vendor performance, and overall cost optimization
What They’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree plus experience in global logistics, international shipping, supply chain, or procurement operations
  • Strong understanding of worldwide shipping procedures, customs documentation, and multimodal freight operations
  • Proficiency with logistics software, shipment tracking platforms, spreadsheets, and related tools
  • Exposure to procurement or workflow systems
  • Excellent communication skills — the role requires frequent interaction with senior stakeholders across global offices
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining complete and accurate records
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret logistics data and translate it into practical recommendations
  • Experience supporting a technology, engineering, or financial services environment is beneficial but not required

If you’d like to work somewhere where your expertise actually influences performance — and where you’ll be surrounded by people who genuinely care about excellence — this role stands out.
