We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Data & Reporting Analyst with strong SQL and technical consulting skills to support and enhance our finance and accounting software solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. This role combines data analysis, reporting, and client-facing technical support to deliver accurate insights and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, analyse, and manipulate financial data
• Design, build, and maintain reports and data outputs for business users
• Analyse financial and operational data to provide meaningful insights to clients
• Support clients with data-related queries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving discrepancies
• Provide technical consulting on system configuration, data structures, and reporting capabilities
• Work closely with customers to understand their reporting needs and translate them into effective data solutions
• Assist with implementation and onboarding of new clients, including data setup and validation
• Investigate and resolve system or data issues, ensuring accuracy and reliability
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve system performance and reporting functionality
• Maintain clear documentation for queries, reports, and support processes

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong SQL skills (query writing, joins, data manipulation)
• Proven experience in data analysis and reporting
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets
• Background in technical support, application support, or consulting
• Understanding of accounting principles (e.g. ledgers, invoicing, financial reporting) is highly desirable
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data and technical concepts to non-technical users
