Team - Data and Information ServicesWorking Pattern - Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth or London Office. Full time hours per week.

You'll take ownership of building scalable data pipelines, working independently while collaborating with teams across the business. As a trusted expert, you'll communicate clearly, support data science delivery, and coach others, while continuously exploring new ways to improve our technology and bring fresh data into the organisation.
Key ActionsWork closely with our Data Engineering team to deliver reliable, high-quality data that powers strong data flows and predictive modelsUse a range of languages and tools to build and manage robust data pipelines across multiple systemsContribute to key decisions that drive a strong, outcome-focused (SWAT) approachExplore new opportunities to bring in data and unlock more value from what we already haveCollaborate with Data Science, Analytics, Architecture and wider tech teams to design, build, test and maintain scalable data environmentsUnderstand GDPR principles and confidently raise any concerns where neededShow genuine curiosity for new technologies and a strong interest in the Vitality businessSupport and mentor fellow Data Engineers to help the team growListen actively to both technical and business needs, and communicate complex ideas in a clear, accessible waySpot potential challenges early and proactively shape solutions that build trust and deliver great outcomesWhat do you need to thrive?
Bachelor's degree in IT, Systems, Sciences or Maths5+ years' experience across BI, data warehousing, data management and ETLStrong experience delivering data solutions in BI warehouses and/or data lakes (on-prem & cloud)Hands-on with Big Data tools, data ingestion and streamingExperience working with data lakes and visualisation (incl. semantic modelling)Strong understanding of data architectureConfident stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaborationPassion for sharing knowledge and supporting team developmentSo, what's in it for you?
