IT Infrastructure Manager
You will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our IT infrastructure across networks, servers, cloud, and end-user environments. Working closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders, you’ll ensure our systems are robust, secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs. It is essential that a successful candidate can balance the day-to-day operational business needs with strategic directional planning.
IT Infrastructure Manager requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in an IT Infrastructure Manager / IT Operations Manager / similar role.
- Strong hands-on background in:
- Networking (switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs)
- Windows Server / Active Directory / Group Policy / DNS / DHCP
- Virtualization (VMware/Hyper V) and storage technologies
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune or similar MDM) Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) in a production environment.
- Demonstrable Citrix software portfolio experience including CVAD & NetScaler ADC
- Good understanding of Microsoft DHCP and DNS (from a diagnostic perspective)
- Experience with Office 365 in a Citrix environment is desirable as is Nutanix
- 8x8 telephony experience
- Solid understanding of IT security principles, best practices, and tooling.
- Experience managing and developing an IT infrastructure/operations team.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to incident and problem management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and deliver to deadlines.
Desirable:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, MCSE/MCSA, Azure/AWS certifications, ITIL).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (PRTG, Halo, ExtremeCloud IQ, Omada).
- Familiarity with automation / scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
IT Infrastructure Manager benefits:
- Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Company car
- Monday to Fridays, some travel to other sites and flexibility required.
- 37.5 Hours per week, 8:30am – 5:00pm (Flexibility Required).
