Fully Remote Position based in the United Kingdom – supporting US and Canadian clients –East Coast US Hours

Opportunity:

My client, a FinTech company specialising in the provision of Securities Finance trading applications, is looking to hire an accomplished SRE to join the business, supporting US and Canadian clients from the UK.

This is a fantastic business which experiences little to no turnover and provides an extremely supportive environment to its employees – I have been placing candidates here for 6 years and not one person has left the organisation.

The firm is very well run, has a great reputation and their products are creating a real buzz in the Securities Finance sector, especially in the US and Canada.

The role represents a great opportunity to autonomously showcase your SRE and DevOps skills with exciting, nimble Capital Markets organisations.

Desired Skills :

• Ability to work US East Coast hours from the UK is essential for this position
• In-depth AWS knowledge – CloudWatch (ESSENTIAL), EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, Athena and Systems Manager.
• Expertise in Linux, ideally RHEL (Rocky) – ESSENTIAL
• AWS SysOps certification is desirable
• Bash Scripting, Python, Terraform, Ansible CI/CD and DevOps skills
• Understanding of logs and how to deduce where a problem is coming from
• Experience in a client-facing SRE role facing off to multiple clients with differing needs
• Outstanding overall SRE experience – monitoring and incident response, automation, performance optimisation, capacity planning and security
• Exceptional stakeholder management, engagement and communication skills
• Proven ability to add value in a dynamic, constantly evolving Fintech environment
• Inquisitive, curious personality – genuine passion and interest in Technology
• Exposure to Capital Markets/Securities Finance is a nice to have but not essential for the position
