Senior Front-End DeveloperMaidenhead - 2 days a week HybridAbout the Company Our client is an established, international technology business delivering high-traffic digital products used by both organisations and individual users worldwide.They are currently investing in a significant transformation programme, modernising their core platform and front-end architecture to support future growth and improved user experience.This is an opportunity to join a well-backed organisation operating at scale, while working within a collaborative, product-focused engineering environment where individual contributions are highly visible.About the Role We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to take ownership of complex user-facing features and play a key role in shaping how modern front-end applications are designed and delivered.This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences, contribute to architectural decisions, and support the ongoing evolution of the front-end platform.You should be comfortable operating across the full development lifecycle and confident using modern tooling, including AI-assisted development, to improve speed and quality.Key Responsibilities Design and build scalable, user-centric interfaces across a variety of digital journeysCollaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver features from concept through to productionContribute to and evolve front-end architecture, component libraries, and shared patternsMaintain high standards across performance, accessibility, and overall user experienceSupport production stability and continuously improve the quality of live systemsProvide technical guidance, contribute to code reviews, and mentor other engineersUtilise modern development tooling, including AI-assisted coding tools, throughout the SDLCContribute to ongoing platform modernisation and improvements to engineering practicesRequired Experience 610+ years building production web applicationsStrong experience with TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or similarSolid front-end engineering fundamentals including: Component-based architectureState managementResponsive designAccessibilityPerformance optimisationInternationalisationExperience with automated testing (component and end-to-end) using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or similarFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and deploying front-end applications in cloud environmentsExperience working with shared component libraries or design systemsProven ability to contribute to technical decision-making and mentor othersStrong communication and collaboration skillsDesirable Skills Experience contributing to design systems at scaleExposure to native mobile developmentFamiliarity with backend-integrated front-end developmentExperience with platform modernisation or migration projectsExperience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similarKnowledge of API testing toolsExposure to AI-assisted development workflowsBenefits A competitive salary and benefits package is available, including:Generous annual leave with increases based on serviceAdditional personal day allowancePension contributionsLife assurance and health-related benefitsDiversity & Inclusion Our client is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace and welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
