DevOps Engineer (Reading)

Halian Technology is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer for a permanent position with a pioneering, industry-leading Medtech organization.

We are looking for a UK-based professional with a strong background in DevOps and cloud infrastructure to support the delivery and management of a next-generation SaaS-based Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system for the NHS. Join our client in ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available deployments that support healthcare services 24/7.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience currently working as a DevOps Engineer in production environments
• Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Linux, and Bash scripting
• Solid experience managing large MySQL database instances
• Proficient with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, OpenStack)
• Familiarity with DevOps and IaC tools such as Terraform, ArgoCD, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong focus on security best practices, user access control, and GDPR compliance
• Capable of designing, testing, and executing backup and recovery plans
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and Graylog

Location: Based in Reading - Hybrid

Salary: £80,000–£85,000 depending on experience + bonus + private medical care
