Interim IT Data Support Officer

Job summary

Hall Green Health is a large Practice located on Stratford Rd. We are are currently seeking to recruit an Interim IT and Data Support Officer.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a GP Practice and will also possess knowledge and experience in the following areas:

IT

- Have a good working knowledge of the systems used within the practice, e.g. Office365, EMIS, Docman.

- Maintain a high level of computer literacy.

- Support staff with IT issues e.g Password issues, Hardware and Software issues.

- Escalate technical issues appropriately to the relevant supplier/support.

- Ensure that the issues raised are closed effectively.

- Ensure that staff have the right access to the practice systems, including setting up access for new staff and removing access for leavers.

- Support the Operational Manager in the development of processes using digital tools to ensure safety and efficiency.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will also have experience in the following areas:

- Understand how to access the data contained within the various systems used at the practice.

- Support ongoing audits within the practice.

- Support the governance of the practice by running reports on activity.

- Develop dashboards to present data in the form on information for other staff to be able to easily digest and understand.

- Review and maintain existing dashboards.

- Creation of searches and protocols within clinical systems

The Practice is accessible by car, train and bus. The Practice has been established for many years and excels in delivering many clinical services

Job Summary:

The post-holder will play a key role in supporting our teams in IT queries and issues. They will support the governance of the practice through the collation and presentation of data. They will ensure that staff have the correct and required access to the practice systems.

Job Responsibilities:

- Work effectively as a team member with all departments in the Practice

- Complete mandatory and role-based training and development as required.

- Abide by the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.

- Support the IT functions of the practice.

- Compile and present data as appropriate

- Ensure that staff have the correct system access and remove access when appropriate.

IT

- Communicate to staff any upcoming IT changes and keep staff informed of what to expect.

- Communicate to staff IT issues that are likely to affect many staff.

- Support the Information Governance of the practice by maintaining a practice asset register.

- Support the Health & Safety of the practice by completing display screen equipment assessments and escalation of issues.

Experience

Essential
  • -High standard of general education, including English and numeracy
  • -Relevant professional qualification / continuous professional development
  • -Working with the public
  • -Healthcare experience
  • Experience operating new processes
  • -Working with EMIS or other clinical systems and software relevant to department
  • -Ability to build rapport quickly, working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • -Ability to develop communication plans
  • -Excellent communication skills

  • -Ability to understand new processes quickly
  • -IT literate, including Microsoft Office
