Accounts Payable Manager
Halliday Marx have partnered with an outstanding consultancy business to hire an AP Manager on a permanent basis.
Hybrid working (1 day a week in the office, 4 days from home)
60k-65k 15% bonus
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing AP team across multiple countries.
- Set clear objectives, provide ongoing coaching, and manage performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Manage end-to-end AP processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee high-volume invoice processing, payment runs, supplier reconciliations, and employee expenses.
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with company policies and SOX requirements where applicable.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve automation, and enhance efficiency.
- Drive best practice initiatives across jurisdictions.
- Partner with IT and finance systems teams to optimise SAP functionality.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, and wider Finance teams to ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Act as the point of escalation for complex AP queries.
- Leverage SAP for AP processing, reporting, and month-end close activities.
- Produce and analyse AP KPIs, ageing reports, and compliance dashboards for senior management.
- Ensure accurate month-end accruals and reconciliations.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing AP teams in multiple international jurisdictions.
- Strong SAP expertise (minimum 3 years in a finance leadership role using SAP).
