Group Accountant
£70-75K (6 month FTC)
Our client is a technology company based in Central London and are looking for a Group Financial Accountant for 6 months.
Duties Include:
- Supporting the group consolidation and the preparation of group financial reporting, including reporting by function
- Support monthly financial reporting, including (but not limited to) automating functional reporting, implementing regional and product-level P&L reporting, and supporting financial KPI reporting aligned to agreed business strategies
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
- Reviewing the work of junior team members, providing quality control and developing the team
- Support audit transition to new auditor
- Identifying and driving process improvements across the finance function
- Leveraging AI tools and supporting or leading AI-related projects and finance transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, automation, and process effectiveness across the finance function
Requirements:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Strong technical ground and excellent attention to detail
- Proven experience thriving in a fast-paced environment - comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and pace
- A self-starter who can hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding
- A genuine appetite for improving processes and project-managing change
- Strong financial and management accounting experience
- Experience preparing group reporting by function
- Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation
- Comfort with finance technology, automation, or AI tools
