Aruba Wireless Network Engineer

Role & What's in it for the applicant and why would they apply?:

This is a pure wireless engineering role for someone who genuinely knows their way around enterprise-grade Aruba wireless environments and wants to operate at 3rd line without being dragged into out-of-hours chaos.

You'll be joining a specialist networking team where wireless is treated as a core platform, not an afterthought. The focus is on stability, performance, security, and continuous improvement across large, business-critical environments.

There's no on-call, sensible working hours, and real flexibility on location, with multiple UK offices available. If you want to deepen your Aruba expertise, work on meaningful wireless challenges, and still have a life outside of work, this is a strong move.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 3rd line support for complex Aruba wireless environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced wireless performance, roaming, and stability issues.

• Support and improve enterprise WLAN architectures across multiple sites.

• Work closely with network and security teams to ensure wireless aligns with wider infrastructure standards.

• Contribute to wireless design improvements, optimisations, and best practices.

• Assist with ClearPass-related troubleshooting and policy enforcement where required.

• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation.

• Act as a technical escalation point for wireless-related incidents and problems.

Skills / Must Have:

• Strong, hands-on experience with Aruba Wireless in enterprise environments.

• Proven capability operating at 3rd line wireless support level.

• Solid understanding of WLAN design principles, RF fundamentals, and troubleshooting.

• Experience supporting secure wireless networks in regulated or sensitive environments.

• Eligible for SC Clearance (or already SC cleared).

Nice to Have:

• Aruba ClearPass experience.

• Aruba certifications (ACMP, ACSP, etc.).

• Experience working across multi-site or nationally distributed estates.

Benefits:

• No on-call rota.

• Standard working hours: 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

• Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office.

• Choice of office locations: London, Belfast, Sheffield, Manchester, or Bristol.

• Support for training and professional development.

• Stable environment with clear technical ownership.
