Audio Visual Service Desk Engineer (Graduate / Junior Level)

This is a rare opportunity to break into the AV industry without needing prior experience.

You'll be joining a growing AV and technology services business that is heavily investing in its managed services offering. Initially, this role blends customer support with technical exposure, but within 12 months it becomes a fully technical AV support position.

If you're a sound, audio, or technology graduate (or a junior engineer) who wants to build a long-term career in professional Audio Visual engineering, this is a genuine entry route into the industry.

This isn't a call-centre job and it isn't a dead-end helpdesk. You'll be learning from experienced engineers, working with real enterprise AV systems, and being trained on platforms like Crestron, Extron, and Microsoft Teams Rooms.

If you enjoy technology, problem-solving, and learning hands-on in a live environment, this is a role that will grow with you.

Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound service requests and logged tickets from customers.

• Triage issues and determine whether they can be resolved remotely or require engineer attendance.

• Provide first-line support for customer AV environments.

• Support preventative maintenance contracts and customer service delivery.

• Coordinate engineer dispatch when required.

• Log, update, and manage tickets accurately within service systems.

• Learn AV technologies through formal training and day-to-day exposure.

• Build confidence in troubleshooting AV systems remotely.

• Develop technical skills ready to transition into a fully technical role within 12 months.

Skills / Must Have:

• A genuine interest in audio, sound, AV, or technology.

• Graduate-level education or college experience in sound, media, engineering, or IT is ideal.

• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking to customers.

• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

• Organised, professional, and calm under pressure.

• Comfortable working in an office environment.

No previous AV experience is required. Training provided.

Benefits:

• Full training into Audio Visual engineering.

• Clear development path into technical support and engineering roles.

• Supportive environment with experienced engineers around you.

• Regular working pattern with no night or weekend shifts.

• Opportunity to be part of a growing managed services team.
