An ambitious and fast-growing boutique Cyber Security and Information Assurance consultancy is expanding — and we’re looking for a Cyber Security Architect to join our high-performing Technical Consulting team.

With sustained growth across Defence, public sector, and private sector programmes, we are strengthening our capability to meet rising client demand. This is a highly client-facing role for a security professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, influencing stakeholders, and delivering real-world secure solutions that matter.

You’ll work across the full systems engineering lifecycle on diverse, high-impact projects — from secure architecture design and assurance to testing, rollout, and accreditation. Please note: Due to the nature of the work, a minimum of SC clearance is required.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver end-to-end Cyber Security consultancy across the systems engineering lifecycle
• Lead and support secure system architecture and design activities
• Develop and execute security test cases alongside engineering teams
• Contribute to secure solution rollout and assurance
• Conduct assessments against recognised frameworks including NIST, CAF, Cyber Essentials, and Secure by Design
• Deliver assurance activities aligned to JSP440 and JSP604/453
• Support security accreditation processes
• Engage directly with clients across Defence, public and private sector environments
• Contribute to pre-sales activities, tenders, and technical proposals
• Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies through ongoing professional development

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years’ experience delivering consultancy services (public sector experience advantageous)
• Strong hands-on technical background (Windows Server, Linux, SQL)
• Solid understanding of traditional infrastructure, cloud, and SaaS environments
• Knowledge of public and/or private cloud platforms (desirable)
• Experience in security assurance and accreditation
• Working knowledge of JSP440 and JSP604/453
• Experience applying Secure by Design principles
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary technical teams
• Strong communication skills — able to translate technical risk into business impact
• Current SC clearance (essential)

Qualifications

• Relevant security or engineering qualification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
• CISSP (desirable)
• Technical degree or equivalent experience
