DV Cleared Email/Messaging Technical Specialist - 6 months - Hybrid - Outside IR35
We're looking for an Email/Messaging Technical Specialist to support and assure enterprise-scale email and messaging services within a secure, highly regulated environment. You'll act as a subject matter expert across email technologies, working closely with stakeholders to ensure services are compliant, resilient, and fit for purpose.
Key Focus Areas:
- Assure and maintain secure email and messaging services, including protocols, routing, and security controls.
- Act as an email SME, supporting fault-finding, assurance activities, and ongoing service improvement.
- Work with commercial suppliers and internal teams to support existing platforms and future capabilities.
- Support and coordinate testing activities related to email and messaging technologies.
- Raise and manage Requests for Change (RFCs), contributing SME input into design proposals and impact assessments.
- Engage with stakeholders to capture new requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Monitor and advise on Quality of Service (QoS) for email and messaging implementations.
- Support UK-based and international testing activities as required.
About You:
- Active DV Clearance
- Strong experience as an Email/Messaging Engineer, Specialist, or SME in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrable understanding of email protocols and routing (eg SMTP, mail flow).
- Experience working with secure email environments, assurance, compliance, and security labelling.
- Solid background working within government, defence, or similarly regulated organisations.
- Comfortable working across change management processes and structured delivery environments.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 6 months
- Day Rate: £575 per day (Outside IR35)
- Location: Hybrid (UK-based)
