GCP VDC Network Specialist - 6-Month Contract - Hybrid (Bristol, Leeds, Halifax, Manchester, or Edinburgh)

We are looking for an experienced GCP VDC Network Specialist to support teams in delivering modern, scalable cloud networking solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

In this role, you'll help design, build, and modernise the Virtual Data Centre (VDC) network layer, curate reusable GCP cloud products using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and drive best practices in cloud networking and DevOps automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage GCP Virtual Data Centre (VDC) network architectures for enterprise workloads
  • Configure and maintain VPCs, subnets, Firewall rules, routing, and VPC peering to ensure secure and scalable connectivity
  • Implement hybrid connectivity solutions, including Cloud VPN and Interconnect, for on-prem and multi-cloud integration
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for network resources using Terraform/Terraform Cloud
  • Automate network provisioning and configuration using Python Scripting
  • Enforce GCP Organisation Policies to meet security and compliance requirements (IP restrictions, encryption, access control)

What You Will Ideally Bring

  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP Networking (VPCs, subnets, Firewall rules, routing, peering)
  • Proven expertise in Hybrid Connectivity (Cloud VPN, Interconnect)
  • Solid experience using Terraform/Terraform Cloud for IaC
  • Python Scripting for automation and orchestration
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or Harness

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
  • Day Rate: Up to £500 per day (Inside IR35)
  • Location: - Hybrid (3 days onsite per week) - Bristol, Leeds, Halifax, Manchester, or Edinburgh
  • Start Date: ASAP
