IT Business Analyst - 6-Month Contract - Hybrid (Edinburgh)

We are seeking a proactive and delivery-focused IT Business Analyst to support a range of change initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring business needs are clearly understood, translated into actionable requirements, and delivered through effective collaboration between stakeholders and technical teams.

The Business Analyst will operate across the full change life cycle-from early scoping and analysis through to delivery, testing, and implementation-ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives, governance expectations, and measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Define or reconfirm problem statements, desired outcomes, and scope to ensure initiatives deliver tangible value.
• Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements using appropriate analysis techniques and standards.
• Map as-is processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design to-be processes and support successful implementation and integration.

What You Will Ideally Bring

• 3-5 years' experience working in Change environments, ideally within Financial Services.
• A self-starter with strong ownership, able to independently drive requirements definition and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and disciplined delivery of process, data, and customer analysis to a high standard.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual and written formats.

Contract Details

• Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
• Day Rate: Up to £375-400 per day (Inside IR35)
• Location: Edinburgh- Hybrid
• Start Date: ASA
