Networks & Security Pre-Sales Consultant
This is a strong opportunity for a technical pre-sales consultant or systems engineer to join an engineering-led organisation, where solutions are built properly, not just sold.
You’ll work closely with sales teams and customers to design enterprise networking and security solutions, owning everything from initial discovery through to HLD, BOM creation, and solution sign-off.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys being both customer-facing and technically credible, with the ability to translate business requirements into real-world, deployable solutions.
You’ll be working across a multi-vendor environment, giving you exposure to a wide range of technologies rather than being locked into a single vendor stack.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the technical lead within the pre-sales process.
• Design and present enterprise network and security solutions.
• Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) and solution architectures.
• Build detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical proposals.
• Work closely with sales teams on customer engagements and account strategy.
• Gather and translate customer business and technical requirements.
• Support RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses.
• Liaise with vendors and internal delivery teams to validate solutions.
• Support technical scoping and input into Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Deliver customer presentations and act as a trusted technical advisor.

Multi-vendor across enterprise networking and security, including:
• Cisco
• Palo Alto
• Juniper
• Fortinet
• HPE Aruba
Skills / Must Have:
• Experience in a pre-sales, systems engineer, or solutions architect role.
• Strong background in enterprise networking and security.
• Experience producing HLDs, solution designs, and BOMs.
• Hands-on knowledge across at least two of the following vendors:
– Cisco
– Palo Alto
– Juniper
– Fortinet
– HPE Aruba
• Strong customer-facing and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand both technical requirements and commercial considerations.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with SD-WAN, wireless, or cloud networking.
• Exposure to automation or DevOps tooling.
• Service provider or large enterprise project experience.
• Industry certifications (CCNP, PCNSE, JNCIS/JNCIP, etc.).
Location & Working Pattern:
• UK-based role
• 1 day per week in London office
• Travel fully expensed
